Hi Mitchel, In reading your fine posts on website performance enhancements, you showed several SQL queries that are useful and made fleeting references to others that I have had little success in finding the correct syntax. Would you be willing to create a post with a short list of DB Maintenance tasks, including or pointing to resources where I could find query examples, that would outline a regular course of maintenance for a DNN DB? I have a client DB that is rapidly growing (1GB) but I just don't think (gut feeling) that all of that is valid data. I want to be able to know what is in the DB and how to clear out any dead wood. Thanks for considering this. I'm sure it would be helpful to those of us with limited SQL DB maintenance experience. Best regards, Frank

Frank, Really there are a number of items, that I recommend doing not just for DNN but for any database. DNN specific items are the regular truncation of EventLog, SiteLog, etc. DB Specifics include regular backups, validation of fragmentation levels, as well as general maintenance. I don't necessarily know of a single source of information, as each database is different in regards to what its needs are.
