I built a site based on Microsoft's Club Site Starter Kit, which has been operational for about a year. I would like to redo the entire site using DNN. Since CSK is .Net 2.0 based, is it possible to move the subscribers from that database over to DNN or will everyone have to re-register on the new site? The content of the site will not be that hard to re-create, but I'd hate to have to ask all the subscribers to re-register.

Ed,

The long and short answer is really maybe.....

The good news is that both use a similar process to store core login information (Including username etc). However you will have other elements that you have to be aware of....

I would personally recommend if at all possible to get an extract of the users, including the passwords then you can migrate them to DNN using a user import module.

If you have the passwords currently encrypted you can most likely migrate them via SQL server as long as you can copy over the MachineKey values for your application.
