Hi Mitchel,

Do you know how could I create a mirror of an existing DNN site on a Plesk hosted server?  I would use the mirror to test updates etc.  I believe I can only run one DNN application per domain name as nested DNN portals conflict.

Cheers

Brad

This is going to depend on your specific hosting company, but I believe you might be correct. The only way possible would be if the Plesk system will allow you to create a sub-domain for the current domain that is a different file system.

I'll be honest I don't know a lot about Plesk anymore as I don't use a control panel on our systems.

Great, thank you.  Do you have instructions to go from Plesk backups to localhost?  I have a .bak and all the DNN files and only have VWD on my local PC.  Specifically I do not know how to extract the .bak to VWD & link/run the site on localhost.  Also, I suspect I need to change back the connection settings in the webconfig.

Appreciate your help.
