It looks like the latest DNN core forum module (4.5.3) has caught up feature-wise with ActiveForums (http://www.dnnforums.com/Resources/FeatureComparison/3209to453/tabid/102/language/en-US/Default.aspx).

Has anyone used the latest DNN forum AND ActiveForums for a side-by-side comparison? It would be nice to not pay the $115 license for ActiveForums if DNN core will do the trick, but not if it means sacrificing quality.

Most of the comparisons/info I found between the two is several years old now.

Sadly I'm not going to go out here any post too much detail, but I'd still buy Active Forums
