hi friend i am using DNN0408 website my webfolder i placed in a dedicated server and have a web address...EG:www.test.com dedicated server is windows server 2003. IIS V6. when i access the web http://www.test.com one screen is coming for entering the username and password of dedicated server. if i entered dedicated server username and password then only my webpage is showing.  how i can restict the window for entering username and password??
for solving the specified issue..................................... I gave full control permission to “ Users” in to my webfolder security tab. Now web is working fine. in iis both anonymous access and windows authentication checked.. but i think if i made tick in windows authentication method users can able to delte my webfiles... if i remove windows authentication check from iis it is giving the following error  You do not have permission to view this directory or page due to the access control list (ACL) that is configured for this resource on the Web server.
can u help to do the settings... is windows authentication check is required in IIS??? is "users" group permission is required in webfiles??? suggest me the settings... regards |
