I am relatively new to DotNetNuke and I really need to understand how I would set up a development, test & production environment.

Here is the scenario: I have a project that will need to be completed in phases over a period of 1 year and application features will be moved to the production every two months. What I am not able to understand very clearly is that how will I go about applying the incremental builds to the production that keeps the data intact and only upgrades to a new version of the application code and probably some incremental database changes.

Also we need to keep in mind is that we do not want any of the production logs (probably those in the production database) and normal production activity information in the production database to be wiped out as part of the upgrade.

If someone has had this kind of experience, your guidance in this direction will be really appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Just build your custom modules an install them as a package just like the various third party modules out there.
