Hello Mitchel

Setting up the separate WAP's for each module as discussed yesterday is the way to go.. much easier and cleaner separation of code this way. I got that template from BiteTheBullet.co.uk and then modified it for my environment, added the references to the project I need etc... now I can get a new WAP project up in seconds with all of the tedius stuff done. Very nice.

I was also able to leave the main DNN project as a website... did not really want to change that anyway. Getting back into DNN heavily again after an absense and these are the productivity tricks that make development SO much easier.

Thanks

Harold

Harold,

I'm glad that you are up and running! You might also keep your eye on my blog here in the next week or so. I'll be releasing about 3-4 Visual Studio Item templates that will make adding new user controls, new controller classes, and the like much easier as well!

Very cool! I've liked what I've been seeing here so I'll keep a look out for it...

For the DAL, I've been using the Business layer libraries that Rick Strahl has built over at west-wind.com. I have always been a huge fan of his work... Been running a website of mine now for 10 years on his web connection product.

Could you chime in on my other thread in the .net forum on using either "codefile" or "codebehind" in a ascx file in a wap?

Thanks!

Harold
