Mitchel, I followed your complete steps to install the 4.8.4 onto my server. I am using Visual Studio 2005 Web Developer Express with the 2005 MS SQL Server Express. I followed all the steps, and once I got to the Completion step, where I typed the :install/install.aspx (twice) it finished its loading phase, and said it was complete. I then opened my Visual Studio 2005 Web Developer program for the 1st time of the installation, and I attempted to bring up the Default.aspx page. I received this error: 'System.Web.UI.Design.HtmlIntrinsicControlDesigner' to type 'System.Web.UI.Design.ControlDesigner'. I cannot get to the design view. What should I attempt to try next?

I am not sure as to what might be causing this issue. I personally NEVER touch the source code of DNN, therefore I never open the default.aspx page.
