Hi,

I love the way you upgraded to change the sort order.

I'm having a problem though. I designed my module with images as titles. It looked really great! You could click on the image and it would expand. I really liked it!

But, we just upgraded to DNN 4.8, and now the images have a blue box around them that is a hyperlink. It's like a blue border around the image, but then when you click on it, it turns purple, just like a hyperlink. I've poked around looking for a way to disable this but can't find one. If I can't fix it, I'm probably going to end up not using this module after all.

Plus, now it has these little black arrow symbols that weren't there before. I can live with the arrow symbols if I have to, but I can't live with the hyperlink boxes around my images.

Bee,

I am glad that you like the update for sort order.

Regarding your image, be sure that the image tag within your title has border="0" set, this will prevent hyperlinks from showing as lines around a picture that is linked.

Regarding the expand/collapse icons. You can remove the token from the display template (inside the ViewExpandableTextHtml.ascx.resx file), however i just noticed that if you do so it will generate a JavaScript error. i will post a new version of the module tonight that will allow you to remove that token from the template without any issues.

I apologize for the error.

Bee,

Version 01.06.00 of the Expandable Text/HTML module was just released which includes the fix that allows you to remove the [EXPANDCOLLAPSEICON] token from the display templates.

It works! Well the boxes are gone! And it is so cool that you fixed that for me to get rid of the arrows. I downloaded it and installed it. But, I guess I don't know how to use the token. I couldn't find anywhere in settings or edit that you could set that.  I think I probably should know this already but I couldn't seem to intuit it.

Thank you because I think this module is very nice.

Bee,

To modify the display templates you must use the Language Editor. You can get there via the following.

Login to your site as admin
From the Admin menu select "Languages"
From the action menu select "Language Editor"
Expand the node for DesktopModules, then expand ExpandableTextHtml, then expand app_localresources
The template is inside the ViewExpandableTextHtml.ascx.resx file.
