Hello Mitchel.   I am a long time DNN corporate intranet admin who is taking the first steps to creating a DNN personal page on the WWW.  I saw a post from last year that you had signed up with M6.net for hosting services.   I also signed up with them just last week mainly for the amount of diskspace, but they seem to be having some issues getting my hosting account setup correctly so that I can properly use DNN.   I am hoping this is an isolated incident.

I was just wondering if you could give me you honest opinion of M6.net?  Did you have any problems?  Are you still with them?

Thanks in advance for your comments....

Mark,

Thanks for asking, I am more than willing to give my opinion about M6.NET, however, it is not nearly as positive as it once was.

In the beginning everything was great they had working service and a good price, however, that quickly changed, it got to a point where my site was not even up 90% of the time (per external monitoring systems), they wouldn't respond to my continual requests for resolution on outages and other site issues (including the server running out of space, statistics not working, e-mail not working etc.).

I changed to 3Essentials just about a year ago, and haven't been happier. They respond to ALL of my support requests typically within an hour, but no more than a few. They support Full Trust installations, and best of all I have had practically 100% uptime since I switched, and it can handle the traffic that this site now has.

I personally would highly recommend taking advantage of the M6.NET money back guarantee if you are having problems already and going with a different host, if it is an option for you. I would either choose 3Essentials or PowerDNN for DNN hosting.

3Essentials if you are ok with doing upgrades on your own, PowerDNN if you are looking for unlimited bandwidth and DNN specific assistance.

Regardless if you choose either of these providers if you don't mind using my affiliate link for 3Essentials, or just telling the PowerDNN People that I recommended you it would be appreciated!
