Demand for Course Gradebook Module? 

As some of you might have noticed I will be teaching my first college course this summer at Des Moines Area Community College here in Iowa.  As part of getting ready for the class I have been working on creating a "Gradebook" module to allow me to track and show students their grades during the semester.  Is there a demand for this type of module in the community?

Share your thoughts, as I might consider making this a publicly available module if there is an interest for it.

I'm sure people would be interested. Here in the Netherlands it seems more and more schools are discovering DNN as a solution. I'm also developing modules for two of them and in my search for existing solutions I discovered there isn't much out there yet ("school" module wise)

Hi Mitchel,

I have been in education for the last 13 years and have supervised technology integration into the classroom for much of that time. I think I can contribute to your efforts as it relates to what teachers would be looking for as far as features go. Is there anyway we could set this up as a project so that I could offer some time related to testing, feedback, etc.? I would love to make this my summer project.

I can't call it a "demand" on my part, but I am keen to see anything in this arena!

BTW, any progress on the "quizzing" module?

I know I would love to see this. But you are in for a lot of different opinions on how to do anything in the app. You will want to have lots of configurable options.

I agree that it is up for a large amount of "user desires", my initlal plan is to launch it as I have creted it for use within my class and then work from there.

As for the Quizzing module, it is still in the works...however my urgent need for the course gradebook module has bumped it back a bit in my priorities..
